In short
Equipment for a cleanroom is cleaned and double-wrapped outside, the outer layer comes off in the airlock, and crew members entering wear the required gowning. After the move, QA runs the tests the room's classification requires.
Keep particles out
In a cleanroom every cardboard box, wheel and garment sheds particles. Ordinary cardboard does not go in, and equipment arrives in two layers of clean film. The outer layer is removed at the entrance and the inner layer inside the room.
Plan with the cleanroom team
- Entry procedure, gowning and the number of people allowed.
- Airlock and door sizes, to know what fits in one piece.
- Clean carts used only inside the room.
After the move
Moving equipment and opening doors affects the room. QA runs the required tests before production or work resumes, so schedule them in advance.
